[/size]When both were still toddlers, the King and Queen of England and the King and Queen of Spain agreed that their youngest children would marry. It was hoped it would put an end to a disagreement which had been raging for centuries. The English and Spanish were never quite enemies, but never friends either. With the marriage, it was hoped all would be put right.
Neither families took into account that their children would grow to hate each other. The Spanish Prince grew into a serious young man, having no time for frivolities and fun, where as the English Princess was a dreamer, carefree. They were a match made in Hell, and no matter how many times there were brought together, they ended up fighting -- loud, venemous arguments. Despite both their wishes, the families have still said they will marry, hoping once they are wed they will settle into a happy union.

"I've seen him with that Romanov whore, draping herself all over him. It's pathetic."
"But why does that anger you, miss? If it's not too bold to say, surely if he would rather marry her, it gets you out of having to be wed to him?"
"It doesn't anger me. I just think she's making a fool of herself. He's engaged to me."

The English Princess and the servant-girl have been close friends for three years now, and they know each other secrets. They don't care that their friendship is frowned upon.
When the youngest Russian Princess starts flirting with the Spanish Prince, the English Princess finds herself getting jealous. The servant-girl nervously points out that perhaps she does love him after all, though the Princess heartily denies it.
The Russian Princess likes the chase. She doesn't believe in love, only lust. She has a reputation of a flirt, though as far as anyone knows, her maidenhood remains intact. She can talk the talk, but she isn't a slut. The Spanish Prince finds himself attracted to the her. She's level-headed and strong without being over-bearing. For her young age, she's serious, just like he is, and they have a lot of common ground.
Is the English Princess falling in love with him? Will he choose the Russian Princess over the English one? Will the families allow him to marry the Romanov princess if he so wishes, or will he too realise he has feelings for the English Princess? Will the Russian Princess let the Spanish Prince go now she has her claws in? Will the English servant-girl risk it all to make them see that sometimes opposites really do attract?
