"Papa, she's younger than me!"
"Yes, and she is also about to become your stepmother, and Queen of All Russia, and so you will treat her as such."
"But Papa -- "
"No. There is nothing for you to say on the matter, understand?"

[/size]The King could have handled it a lot better, almost everyone agrees. With his first wife dead less than a year, he has married again. All the King's children seem to like his new wife. She's pleasant and sweet, and she enjoys their company far more than their father seems to. Except for the Eldest Princess. At 22, she's a year older than her stepmother, and uses this alone as a reason to hate the Queen. Despite several attempts, the Queen cannot find a mutual interest or something to form a bond over with the Princess.

"Your Majesty, you summoned me?"
"Indeed I did, for I have an important job for you, and you only, but you can tell no-one."
"Anything for you, My Lady."
"You are to seduce the Queen... And get caught doing so."

The Princess plans to use the visiting monarchies to her advantage -- what better audience could there be when her stepmother is caught being unfaithful to her father? She has paid a servant to sleep with the queen, and to make sure they get caught.
More-than handsome, the servant is right for the role given his reputation as somewhat of a stallion amongst the other staff, but will he go through with the plan? He likes the new Queen, and dislikes the Princess's brattish attitude. If he refuses, he risks dismissal anyway, and Heaven only knows what story the devious Princess will come up with. If he goes along with it, he'll be dismissed, but paid handsomely by the Princess. He faces a tough decision. Which path will he take?
