[/size]The English Princess has been betrothed to the oldest son of the King of France for as long as she can remember. She isn't upset about the marriage - she does love the Prince dearly, but in a platonic way. He's been a good friend to her since they were children, and she knows it is a smart political match if ever there was one, but it doesn't mean that her hearts fully in it. She wasn't to feel love, and the headstrong, independent prince won't be able to give her it. She knows this.
The Prince feels the same, although he has to admit that having the beautiful English Princess as his wife would be quite the trophy. The wedding has been scheduled for the end of August, just before everyone leaves, and it is going to be quite the extravaganza.

"You should not do something that will make you unhappy."
"It doesn't make me unhappy. And it is none of your concern?"
"It is when you smile more when you see me than when you see my brother..."

The younger French Prince had never met the English Princess before, but as soon as he did, he knew he loved her, and though she will not admit it, she felt the same. After spending hours together talking and walking through the grounds, they both find themselves falling for the other.
He begs her not to marry his brother, but she knows the importance of political matches. Not only that, but the older Prince is her friend. She can't hurt him to make herself happy.. can she? She's always been known for her demure demeanour, has never been a wildchild or done anything to upset her family.. so surely she won't break the engagement now? But she does love the younger French Prince...
